Philip Allott – Constitutionalism in the European Union

Chair 1995 – 1996

In 1995-1996 the first Ganshof van der Meerch Chair was held by Philip ALLOTT, Professor of International Public Law at the University of Cambridge, specialized in UK Constitutional Law, European Union Law, International Public Law, and Philosophy of Law.

The subject of the chair was “Constitutionalism in the European Union”.

The opening lecture, delivered on March 25, 1996, was entitled “The Crisis of European Constitutionalism. Reflections on the Revolution in Europe”
