To promote the circulation of knowledge between the ULB and the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, the Foundation organises annually two activities: the Ganshof van der Meersch Chair and the Philippe Wiener Lectures. It also awards the Ganshof van der Meersch Prize.
The chair, held at the ULB by a visiting professor from Cambridge or Oxford University, focuses on the economic, historical, political and legal aspects of European integration or on public law.
Covering cutting edge research topics, these lectures are delivered at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford by academics and researchers from the ULB, and vice versa.
The prize rewards the merits of outstanding students who earned their Master of Law degree at the ULB, specializing in public and international law.
