Edward Lee-Six, PhD in French and English Literature (University of Cambridge), is currently a Wiener-Anspach postdoctoral fellow at ULB, where he is conducting research on “Emile Verhaeren at the cross-roads of Belgian symbolism and English romanticism”. This week, he is co-organising two book launches with the French publisher Les Éditions sociales.

On Thursday 16 February at 6.30 pm he will be presenting with Marion Leclair (Université d’Artois) Les Romantiques : L’Angleterre à l’âge des révolutions by E. P. Thompson, which they co-edited and co-translated.  The book launch, organised with the magazine Lava, will take place in the bookshop poëtini (rue de Roumanie, 28, 1060 Saint-Gilles).

On Friday 17 February (2-5 pm), Edward Lee-Six is organising with his colleagues Alexia Blin (Université Paris III) and Martin Georges (Université de Liège) the book launch of Les articles du New-York Daily Tribune (volume 1, 1851-1852) by Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx.

This event, organised in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Université libre de Bruxelles and the Institut Marcel Liebman, will take place in the Maison des Arts de l’ULB (room J56.3.303, building J56, avenue Jeanne 56, 1050 Brussels).
