On October 3, 2020 the Académie royale de Belgique welcomed sept new members, including Professor Estelle Cantillon, a former Felloz of the Wiener-Anspach Foundation. Elected in the Technology and Society Class, Estelle Cantillon is F.R.S.-FNRS. Research Director, Professor at the Solvay Brussels School Economics & Management and Affiliated Researcher at the Toulouse School of Economics and at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). In 1994/1995, with the supported of the Foundation, she completed an MPhil in Economics at the University of Cambridge.

Her research lies at the boundary between market design and industrial organization, with a particular focus on multi-attribute procurement, the design of emissions markets, and school choice (more information is available on her website). In May 2020 Estelle Cantillon joined the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium.
