In 2017/2018 Chanel de Halleux was granted a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford, to work with Prof. Catriona Seth (Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages). Dr De Halleux has recently published an article based on a lecture given at the time. Entitled “Babil et philosophie au féminin dans La Marmotte philosophe de Fanny de Beauharnais”, the paper is available on the website of the journal Revue d’Histoire littéraire de la France.
Following her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford, Dr De Halleux was hired to work on a ULB-Oxford research project supported by the Foundation, “Cat19: Panorama of the French-Language Novel in the Early 19th Century”. She is currently Director of Faculty Administration at the Faculty of Law, Université libre de Bruxelles.
