Launched in 2017, the Network has developed thanks to a dynamic working group bursting with ideas. The first activities – in Brussels, Ghent and London – created memorable moments of conviviality. Unfortunately, a series of events then hampered the group’s projects between 2019 and 2020.
The first lockdown caused by the Covid-19 epidemic was implemented on the eve of a visit to the Constitutional Court of Belgium, which had aroused much interest. The visit was to be guided by our Alumnus Jean-Pierre Spreutels, Honorary President of the Constitutional Court, Honorary Professor of Criminal Law (Faculty of Law and Criminology, ULB) and a Trustee of the Foundation. This event will be rescheduled as soon as the circumstances allow.
In the meantime, the Alumni Network working group hasn’t been sitting on its hands. Its members have continued to meet and have organised two welcome drinks for our 2020/2021 Fellows. Following a virtual one in November 2020, the second drink could finally take place in the beautiful setting of the Bois de la Cambre on June 10, 2021. And several projects are in the pipeline…
