For this third edition, Johan Yans, Corentin Caudron and Adel El Gammal will address one of the major challenges of our time: where can we find the geo-resources needed for a sustainable future?
Johan Yans is Professor of Geology at the University of Namur and President of the Institute of Life, Earth and Environment (ILEE). In 1996-1997 he was a Wiener-Anspach Fellow at the University of Oxford, where he conducted part of his doctoral research in Earth Sciences.
Corentin Caudron is Professor of Volcanology at the ULB and Principal Investigator at the WEL Research Institute. In 2015–2016 he was granted a Wiener-Anspach Postodoctoral Fellowship at the University of Cambridge, where he has since been affiliated as a Research Fellow.
Adel El Gammal is Professor of Energy Geopolitics at the ULB and Secretary General of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA). He is also a Fellow Expert of the Veblen Institute for Economic Reforms.
The talk – in French – will take place on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the ULB (Somville Room S.S08.331, avenue Jeanne 44 – 1050 Brussels), and will be followed by a reception. The event will be hosted by the Wiener-Anspach Foundation Alumni Network.
