Following a special call for research projects on Covid-19, the ULB has launched 18 new research projects, listed on the website of the University.

Wiener-Anspach Alumni Emmanuel Slautsky and Gilles Bruylants are involved in two of these projects:

“Belgian public and social law and the Covid-19 health crisis: facing the present and thinking about the future”
Promoters : Emmanuel Slautsky, Daniel Dumont, Elise Dermine and Julien Pieret (Centre for Public Law)

“Covid-19 Immunoglobulin tests”
Promoters: Gilles Bruylants (Engineering of Molecular NanoSystems laboratory); Ivan Jabin (Laboratoire de Chimie Organique); Vincent Raussens (Structure et Fonction des Membranes Biologiques)

Another project, “Etude par neuro-imagerie multimodale de l’atteinte cérébrale potentiellement liée au COVID-19”, is led by a team comprising Xavier De Tiège and Serge Goldman (Nuclear Medicine Department, CUB Hôpital Erasme), who were the promoters of a ULB-Oxford research project on multiple sclerosis supported by the Foundation from 2016 to 2018.
