On September 23, 2025, the Fondation Wiener-Anspach had the pleasure of celebrating its sixtieth anniversary in Brussels, together with more than a hundred friends, Alumni and Fellows, in the exceptional setting of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences.
The evening began with a lecture by paleontologist Pascal Godefroit, followed by contributions from our Alumni Christophe Snoeck (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and Annabelle Oliva (Retrace agency). A recording of this lecture, entitled “Les iguanodons de Bernissart : de la découverte à la valorisation”, is now available on our website.
The Foundation’s outgoing President of the Scientific Committee, Luc Lemaire, then invited the 2025–2026 Fellows to present their research projects (you can read more about them on this page).
The second part of the celebration took place on the mezzanine of the Institute, under the impassive gaze of the Bernissart Iguanodons.
